At the General meeting this week on Tuesday, our motion to create a Student parents and carers representative position on the Inclusion and Representation Senate was starred and passed. This a brilliant first step in our campaign for better representation and inclusion for student parents and carers at Royal Holloway. The next step is to get the role filled! Look out for our questionnaire and advertising on campus! As soon as we get the role filled and more information on what student parents and carers need from their uni we can power on with dealing with the issues that they face and look at what more our uni can provide.
This campaign has been developed with SURHUL's current Vice-president of Education and Welfare, Katie Blow. Although we are sad to here that she will not be in the same position next year, we look forward to doing what we can this academic year and making sure we carry on next year with the new VP ED-Wel.
